6.9 hectares: a parcel of 35-year-old, low-yielding vineyards located at 1,100 meters above sea level in Alto Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza.
The harvest is carried out at the optimal point of phenolic ripeness. In stainless steel tanks, a cold pre-fermentative maceration is performed for 2 days, followed by fermentation at temperatures between 24 and 26 °C for 7 days. Once fermentation is complete, an extended maceration is carried out, with its duration determined through tasting and oenological analysis.
18 months of aging in first- and second-use French and American oak barrels, followed by 6 months of bottle aging.
It displays a deep, bright violet-red color with high intensity. On the nose, it is expressive and complex, with a predominance of ripe black and red fruits such as plum, blackberry, and cherry, accompanied by delicate floral notes of violet, integrated with elegant contributions from barrel aging reminiscent of vanilla, cocoa, and roasted coffee. On the palate, it shows a broad and enveloping entry, with great volume and a silky texture. Ripe, fine-grained tannins provide structure without losing roundness, balanced by acidity that brings freshness and harmony, leading to a long, persistent, and fruit-driven finish.
Perfect to pair with stuffed pasta with rich sauces, grilled meats, ribeye steak, and cheeses such as Manchego.
