Selected yeasts. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks with post-fermentation maceration for 3 days. Malolactic fermentation.
Aging: Aged for 12 months in first and second-use French and American oak barrels.
As the oldest variety in the Alto Agrelo vineyard, Syrah is Finca La Anita´s "pampered" varietal. Deep crimson-red color. Intense spicy aromas and flavors of blackberries, currants, blackberries, pepper, coconut, and chocolate. Smooth and drinkable. Invites for more than one drink.
Ideal with any grilled red meats flavored with herbs and spices, goat and cow cheeses with intense flavors such as Gouda, Parmesan, Gorgonzola, and Emmental.
Ready to drink but will age well for up to 6 years.
