1947 pergola-trained vineyard located on the western side of the estate. 1.9 hectares situated at 1,100 meters above sea level in Alto Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza.
Fermentation takes place over 6 days at temperatures between 24 and 28°C, followed by a 16-day maceration that allows the wine to extract the polyphenols present in the skins and seeds. Afterwards, malolactic fermentation is carried out in tanks for 6 days before the wine is transferred to barrels.
Aging
Aged for 12 months in first- and second-use French and American oak barrels.
Deep violet-red in color. On the nose, it is intense and complex, with predominant aromas of black fruits such as blackberry and blueberry, accompanied by characteristic spicy notes of black pepper. Subtle hints of black olive and delicate meaty nuances also appear, harmoniously integrated through its barrel aging. On the palate, it is broad and well-structured, with great volume and firm, mature tannins resulting from its extended maceration. The finish is long, deep, and spicy.
Ideal to pair especially with grilled meats and spiced dishes such as skirt steak and lamb, where its power complements the intensity of the dish.
