1.65 hectares located at 1,100 meters above sea level in Alto Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza.
Harvested with the aim of achieving the maximum expression and intensity of the varietal. A cold pre-fermentative maceration is carried out for 3 days, followed by fermentation between 26 and 28°C over 7 days, promoting greater tannin extraction. Afterwards, the wine undergoes a 13-day post-fermentative maceration, completing its malolactic fermentation in contact with the skins.
Aged for 12 months in first- and second-use French and American oak barrels, followed by an additional 12 months of bottle aging.
It displays a very deep violet color, almost opaque. On the nose, it is complex, with a marked presence of black fruits such as blueberries, accompanied by spices like black pepper and clove. Its aging process, first in oak and then in bottle, allows the wine to develop a broad and approachable profile on the palate, while still showing great power and structure.
Due to its persistence and tannic structure, it pairs especially well with flavorful meats such as lamb or goat, as well as slow-cooked dishes like lentil stew.
