Bright ruby red with purple hues. Intense herbal and floral aromas such as violet, lilac, lavender, and sage. A bold, rich wine is chockful of blue and black fruit flavors, such as blackberry, blueberry, black currant, and black cherry. Great lingering.
Ideal with mushrooms, truffles, black beans, kidney beans, dishes that include olives, eggplant, and nuts, and aged smoked cheese like cheddar, gruyere, and gouda.
Ready to drink but will develop favourably in bottle for up to 6 years.
