Vineyard

52 acres at 3,609 fasl in Alto Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza. The grapes for this wine are sourced from different parcels throughout the 178 acres of our Estate to express the great diversity of our terroir.

 

Winemaking

Fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Post-fermentation maceration for 2 to 3 days. Malolactic fermentation. 

 

Aging

60% of the wine is aged 12 months in first and second-use French and American oak barrels. Bottle aged between 6 to 12 months.

Tasting Note

Deep crimson red, with violet highlights. Delicate aromas of blackberries, cherries, currants, violets, red and white pepper, intense flavors of red fruit with round, juicy, ripe tannins, and great persistence. Juicy and ripe tannins, and great persistence.

 

Pairing

Ideal with baked or stewed beef, goat or lamb, chicken, spicy empanadas, legume stews, and semi-hard cheeses. 

Ready to drink but will age nicely for up to 6 years.
