Finca La Anita wines that are the spirit and soul of our terroir. Extraordinary wines to drink and age.
This Malbec is vinified from grapes at our Finca in Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza. These old vineyards are located 900 meters above sea level and have a naturally low yield (4 to 5 t/ha). Surface irrigation.
A classic vintage in Mendoza; dry, fresh and sunny with moderate yields throughout the region from the lowest to the highest areas. This, together with lower rainfall than usual, resulted in fruit with optimal balance, good levels of natural acidity, lovely aromatic expression and soft tannins.
Fermented in stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts. Malolactic fermentation occurs spontaneously at a controlled temperature.
12 months in new and one year old French and American medium toasted oak barrels.
Deep red with violet hues, this Malbec is a blend of elegance, sophistication and robustness. Typical Malbec aromas abound with red fruits, prunes and notes of black pepper, tobacco and chocolate on the finish. Lovely balance and structure and medium body.
Ready to drink but will age nicely for up to 6 years.
