The Finca line from Finca La Anita represents a younger, fruit-forward style of wines.
21 hectares located at 1,100 meters above sea level in Alto Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza. Malbec is planted throughout all the vineyard blocks of the estate, allowing for grapes with diverse expressions across its 72 hectares.
The harvest takes place at the optimal point of phenolic ripeness. In stainless steel tanks, a cold pre-fermentative maceration is carried out for 2 days, followed by fermentation at 24–26 °C for 7 days. Fermentation is conducted using 10% indigenous yeasts and 90% selected yeasts. Once this stage is complete, an extended maceration of 13 days is performed. Malolactic fermentation is completed using the winery’s native bacteria.
Sixty percent of the wine is aged for 12 months in first- and second-use French and American oak barrels, while the remaining portion rests in stainless steel tanks. The wine then continues its evolution with an additional bottle aging period of 6 to 12 months.
It displays a deep red color with violet hues and medium intensity. On the nose, it stands out for aromas of black fruits such as plum and blackberry. Barrel aging contributes spicy nuances that, on the palate, provide a smooth entry, good volume, and structure, with round and ripe tannins.
It is an ideal wine to pair with rich red meats such as ribeye or skirt steak, as well as pasta with intense sauces, as its structure and fruit-driven profile perfectly balance these types of dishes.
