One of the freshest wine talents of our generation, Mendoza-native Agricultural Engineer Soledad Vargas joined the team in 2010 to preserve Finca La Anita’s elegant style of wines, while also giving it a contemporary New World twist. Vargas comes from a wine family and at a very young age spent much of her childhood in the vineyard. She followed in her father’s footsteps, who was also an Agricultural Engineer. She studied Enology at Universidad Nacional de Cuyo. Vargas worked at several wineries in California and Australia before returning to her hometown of Mendoza and joining Finca La Anita family.
Swiss native Richard Bonvin knew he wanted to be a winemaker at an early age. He has wine running through his blood, sharing a passion ever since he spent time on his family’s vineyard growing up, and made his first wine when he was only 14 years old. Bonvin studied Enology in Nyon and worked for various wineries and vineyards in Valais where he had the chance to get involved in every aspect of the winemaking process, from working in the vineyard, harvesting grapes, to bottling wine. He has traveled around the world, worked as a winemaker in South Africa for Origin Wine Group, and finally in 2004, moved to Mendoza to work with Mendoza Vineyards.
